The facility served as a general ammunition depot, but also anti-aircraft missiles were stored there. It had the name &#8216;NVA-Fla-Raketenabteilung 5123&#8217; and about 250 officers and soldiers were stationed there. It was renamed in FRA 5123 with the code name &#8216;Bergahorn 73&#8217; in 1988. The rockets which were stored there were the types TS-3 and later TA-6. The bunker is locked up and recultivated nowadays, but the buildings on the surface are still there.
