During the GDR it belonged to the VEB Metallverarbeitung &#8216;Gr\u00fcnes Herz&#8217; from the city Schmerbach and VEB Kombinat Schl\u00f6sser und Beschl\u00e4ge D\u00f6beln. The factory produced hinges, locks and the metal construction kit &#8216;Construction&#8217; which was well known in the GDR.
