It was a recreation home for workers of the VEB N\u00e4hmaschinenwerke Altenburg. After the end of the GDR the factory got privatized and got the name &#8216;Altin&#8217; while the recreation home was renamed to &#8216;Altin Erholungsheim&#8217;. It was run as a hotel during the 90s.
