Since 1991 Osterland existed again as a brand and the factory was partially refurbished for one million D-Mark in 1992. However, it made its last milk delivery in 1995 and closed down soon after. The production was transferred to Erfurt afterwards. The area was purchased by an investor in 2013 who had plans to refurbish the property, but these were never carried out.
