In its first years it was operated under the name &#8216;Oehmig-Weidlich&#8217; and was owned by Hermann Thieme. In 1942, it was renamed in &#8216;C.H.Oehmig-Weidlich &amp; Chemie Fabrik Dr. Carl Thieme&#8217;. The factory was expropriated in 1952 and renamed again in &#8216;VEB Zitza Werk Zeitz&#8217;. It was later integrated in the &#8216;VEB Deutsches Hydrierwerk Rodleben&#8217;.
