In July 1945 the Soviets came and occupied the barracks and stayed there. The barracks was expanded with more officer buildings, a school, a restaurant and a shop which was called &#8216;Russen-Magazin&#8217; by the locals who even were allowed to buy there. In 1991 the last soldiers from the GSSD left the barracks.
