The factory was most likely built in the GDR and produced several cans during its operational years. In 1990 it was renamed in ‘ERKOFA Erfurter Konservenfabrik GmbH’ and had to close down in 1994 because of insufficient profits. Since then the buildings deteriorated very fast and are in a very bad shape now.
