Time Travel

On this page you can find pictures of locations I’ve explored from different points in time and the accompanied change of them.


These images were taken 4 years apart in the RAW Gotha. As you can see on the right the ceiling collapsed in those years between.


These two images were also taken in the RAW Gotha and show the collapse of another ceiling in just 4 years.


These images show the stage of the Sanatorium in Löhma in its operating years and in 2019, 23 years after it closed its doors.

These images were also taken in the Sanatorium in Löhma. They show the staircase connecting the lobby and the dining all. The left one is aproximately taken in the 70s while the right one was photographed in 2019.

These images show the main hall of the dance hall ‘Wintergarten’ in Gera. As you can see the ball room was renovated to a more simplistic form before it was finally abandoned. The left image depicts the hall aproximately in the year 1915 while the right one was taken a couple months before its demolition in 2020.

This image depicts the schooling workshop of the VEB Wema. The left image shows a person operating a machine which stood about the location of the the center of the newer image. (Look at the wallheater and window in the back)

Altough its not the same floor the images show the main halways of the Sanatorium Knappschaftsheilstätte. The left one depicts the first floor in the beginning of the 20th century while the right one shows the almost similar ground floor in the year 2018.


These images show one of the two lecture rooms in the veterinary engineering school in Beichlingen. The left one was aproximately taken in the 70s while the right one was taken 2021.


These images show a hall in the RAW Meiningen in the early 1900s and in 2020.


These images were taken in the hotel ‘Fürstenhof’. As you can see the hall was changed drastically during the reconstruction after a fire destroyed the original design on the left in the 1920s. The right image shows the hall in 2018 in its final renovated form which had taken place in the 1970s.

These images compare the reconstruction design from the 1930s to the 1970s renovation which was the final state of the hall in the hotel ‘Fürstenhof’ in 2018. The demolition of the whole location started in 2021.
