Capturing decay.

Veterinary school Kurt Neubert

This school was once used to train veterinary engineers. Nowadays this profession isn’t available for studying anymore. In the GDR were only 2 schools which taught the students this subject. The one we visited was built in 1969 and closed after the German Reunion since the FRG doesn’t recognize veterinary engineering as an profession. The students were left stranded but had the opportunity to do an professional retraining to fit in the western professions which are similar. There were serveral attemps to integrate the school in the new education system but they all failed. Nowadays it sits abandoned but in some rooms like the lecture room there is still power. Even the motorised shutters work and several lights can be turned on.
