Capturing decay.

Best of 2016 to 2019

Last time I looked through my image folder, I ended up looking at all the old pictures and was hit with a wave of nostalgia. We started to do Urbex in spring of 2016 when we both were 15, which is now over 6 years ago. I myself connect a lot of memories to these images and all the things that happened in my life at the time. It was definitely a lot simpler back then. A lot of things happened in our lives over these years. During the last six years we’ve grown up (sort of), finished school, started to study and even that is nearly over now and next year I will be working. All these pictures remind us of a time when you didn’t need to worry about Covid, war, inflation etc. It all just wasn’t present. The Urbex trips were a lot easier too. Many abandoned places were in close proximity so after school we just spontaneously walked there or rode our bikes. Nowadays, it has become much more costly and for new places you need to drive many kilometers away. I don’t want to complain, but I really miss the old times. Anyways, we’re glad we never stopped with Urbex. It’s such a great hobby with all the things we associate with it. We have seen a lot in these years and are very glad. Enough said, we thought why not compile the images into a gallery, based on the votes on DeviantArt. We started with the years 2016 till 2019 because this was the time when I still used the old camera. A compilation of the bulk of our images taken from 2020 to 2023 will follow.

Many thanks to all our followers!
