Hunting lodge Rathsfeld

The lodge was built in 1698 and belonged to Albert Anton Graf von Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. During liberation wars in Europe 1813-1815 it was used as an hospital to treat soldiers. After the second world war the buildings were converted into an large bakery. However the lodge became an holiday camp for pioneers of the GDR soon after. In 1990 it was sold by Treuhandanstalt to a private investor who neglects the property since then.
