Capturing decay.

Polygraph Reprotechnik Leipzig

The factory started production in 1899 and was lead by August Hermann Hoh and Friedrich Hahne. It produced photography equipment like the ‘LUX’ Trockenplatten. In the year 1926 the factory expanded its production spectrum to photographic printers for heliography unter the name “Hohluz”. The building you can see in the images below was built in 1910. During the 2nd world war, it also manufactured products for the Junkerswerke. The whole factory was stripped down after the war for reparations. However, production was started again soon after and the building was now known as the ‘Omega Werke’ and part of the VEB Reprotechnik. During the GDR it produced printers and was shut down in 1990. Since then it remains abandoned but is protected by monument protection.
