After more than 4 years we went back to the small yet beautiful village Sülzhayn located at the south of the Harz. This time we went there by car, which was a lot more comfortable than by train/bus in the past. However, the night before a lot of snow came down over all of Thuringia (and most parts of Germany too) so it was quite a rough ride there on the icy roads. The first thing we visited was the Sanatorium Knappschaftsheilstätte. We have already been there in 2018 but due to bus schedules and a lot of other people being there we haven’t been able to properly photograph it. This time we were all alone and had plenty of time for a full exploration of the sanatorium, which was all covered in snow. The pictures will be added to the Sanatorium Knappschaftsheilstätte gallery soon. Afterwards we went to the Sanatorium Hohentanneck, which is in a terrible yet interesting shape to photograph. The whole building is close to total collapse, so it was about time we captured it in our photographs. These images will be uploaded soon, as always.
