The quarry got closed down between 2001 and 2003 after it was bought by the ‘Diabas GmbH’ of the nearby city Berg. Nearly all the machines got transferred to Berg and a lot of buildings in the area which belonged to the quarry got demolished. One time every year gravel is mined so the mining permit stays granted.
