Kinderkurheim Käthe Kollwitz

The Kinderkurheim Käthe Kollwitz in Ruhla was founded in 1956 as a health resort for children suffering from respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, and allergies. It was named after the German artist Käthe Kollwitz, who was known for her social and political artwork. The patients ranged from the ages 6 to 14 and the building provided 70 beds. We estimate it to have been abandoned in the 1990s.
